The Value of Pre-MBA Prep
Practice MBA® (PMBA) was created to offer newly-admitted MBAs a chance to prepare for business school by spending one to three weeks together in an intensive summer residence training program, prior to the start of school.
In 2014, The Practice MBA Summer Forum will be held from July 9th - 29th in Seattle, Washington.
Summer Forum is a comprehensive means for incoming MBAs to transform their baseline knowledge and capabilities in order to maximize performance, improve use of time, and fully leverage the unique opportunities available to them in business school.
Summer Forum’s week-long sessions, which can be taken singly or all together, are designed to:
Empower high-achieving ‘non-traditional’ MBAs – students from backgrounds as varied as military service, professional sports, the creative arts, public policy and government, teaching, medicine, and law – by offering rigorous training in software, research, presentation, and project management skills critical to their success in business school.
Improve the transition experience for international students traveling to business school in the U.S. and Western Europe from Asia, Africa, Central and South America, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East by offering full language immersion and an intensive introduction to host country social, academic, and professional standards and norms.
Coach all participating MBAs to develop an effective, individualized plan for the internship and full-time job search process that is predicated on a deeper understanding of industries, functions, leading organizations, business school resources, and marketplace trends that play a key role in each MBA recruiting cycle.
